Barry Heinrichs is a custom builder specializing in timber framing, barn restoration and traditional joinery.
Barry and his son have built and renovated many homes & barns in the Delaware Valley. He welcomes a challenge and is inspired by a historical renovation. By marveling at the history of a structure, he constructs with reverence and respect to the original craftsmanship, the original native species of the wood. As well, Barry is an expert on the wood itself. He saws his own logs, air dries much of his own lumber.
Barry also has a full cabinet shop where he mills and manufactures many of the parts that go into his buildings.
His son, Rainer, is also a talented blacksmith forging much of the period hardware in the restoration.
Barry grew up in Frenchtown, New Jersey, a beautiful little river town adjacent to the Delaware River and across from Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Barry is passionate about the environment, trees and animals. Coming from a long line of woodworkers, he has honed his craft from a very young age.
